Training will be held at the Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill on Thursday evenings, from 20:00-22:00.
There will be two courts one for ladies, one for men’s.

Burgess Hill station is on the main London to Brighton line so hopefully will make it easier for those coming without a vehicle but once we have a list of players we hope people will be able to share lifts to training if people live close by.

Although we are looking for the teams to be competitive we want to build some team spirit so we hope training alongside each other may encourage some socialising after for those who have less far to travel than others.

Getting a team off the ground is not cheap. We are currently looking for sponsorship and hopefully we will very shortly have secured sufficient funding to make the teams viable. This is based upon registration of 10 players per team and on the income based upon the membership fee level below. We obviously hope we will get more players than this!!

At present we have to register at least 8 players per team by the end of July. To do so we will need a passport size photo of each player who wishes to be registered to play for the team and a cheque for £25 per player player registration plus some personal details that need to go on the card. Tracy Bateman will supply a list of the information required to each player who expresses an interest.

Membership fees will be £240 per year (the year running Sept-August). The £25 player registration we are requesting is an upfront commitment to play for the team and this will be refunded to you once you have started paying your membership fee. We would anticipate that wherever possible membership fees would be paid by direct debit split over 12 months (£20 per month).

Please also note that this is for membership of the NVL team only. Players playing for Dolphin VC local league will also be paying £20 per month for membership to the local league side.

The more players we get, and the more sponsorship we get, the more we will be able to look at reducing costs, membership or investing in equipment etc but please base any decision you make on the current fee proposal. We will also look to run a tournament at the end of next season to raise additional funding.
